Eh’ll c’yer ar’loond

Feb 27, 2024 | Club News

Final goodbyes from our club member James, as he moves to pastures new.  James will leave us with fond memories of the Tour De Cinques Ports. A creation he put hours of work into.  We rode around our beautiful countryside with routes and challenges set monthly. Learning about new places to ride and the history of the area.

I wanted to finally say goodbye as I have now moved to Scotland.
Thank you all for teaching me how to ride a bike (maybe I’ll be able to do it one day) and all the friendship everyone has given me. I’m still forever grateful to Andy Wickens for picking me out of the road and to Richard Foster for his understanding and forgiveness.

So, it comes for me to say, “eh’ll c’yer al’roond, pal,” and I’ll leave you with me rocking the HCC colours, as I did most weekends in 2023. I’ll be sad not to represent HCC in TTs and sportives, but the kit will still be used and kept as a reminder for all the great rides I’ve been on with you all.

Good Luck James, it has been an absolute pleasure riding with you.  We will miss you, but not maybe in that skinsuit 🙂

Check out the website for details of the Tour de Cinque Ports where you can download the routes and read about the adventures we went on!!
